This conceptual proposal was submitted for the Architectural Association of Ireland Awards 2004 and was included in the Ideas for Cork City organised by the Cork Architects' Forum and published in the Architecture Ireland special issue on Cork for the European Capital of Culture 2005.
The idea is to convert the roof top upper level of multi storey carparks into public space.
There are 8 multi storey carparks within a 5 minute walking distance of Patrick Street and these spaces could used for a range of sporting, cultural, spiritual, recreational and entertainment uses in a peaceful environment above the traffic and noise with panoramic views and excellent aspect.
