Minister Michael Martin , TD opens the offices of Magee Creedon Kearns Architects at 11 North Abbey Street, Cork on the 29th February 2008. Minister Martin in his speech stated that it was clear that Ireland must foster a vibrant professional services sector to support investment and praised Magee Creedon Kearns in their endeavours to contribute to a high quality built environment in this regard. He also stated that he was delighted to see architectural practices investing in buildings in inner urban areas and contributing to the rejuvenation of the city centre. |

The President of the RIAI, Mr. Seán O Laoire was a guest of honour, along with the Cork Lord Mayor, Councillor Donal Counihan . Mr. O ‘Laoire spoke eloquently on the role of architecture in creating a better society and the real potential for exporting our design and construction expertise to a wider international market. Both speakers were presented with original cartoons of themselves drawn by the Seán Kearns who as well as being a Director of Magee Creedon Kearns pens cartoons for Architecture Ireland under the pseudonym of” Hieronymous”. | ||||||
