Polly Magee B. Arch. MRIAI , Director

Polly Magee is from Wicklow and qualified from University College Dublin in 1992.

With Patrick Creedon she founded Magee Creedon Architects in Dublin in 1993.

The practice subsequently moved to Cork in 1994. Polly with her partner led the design team and delivered a number of award winning schemes including North Main Street , Cross Court, Coppinger Court and the Island Crematorium.

Polly has created a well respected and productive design orientated architectural practice which has now been augmented by the inclusion of Seán Kearns to become Magee Creedon Kearns Architects.

Patrick Creedon Dip.Arch.B.Arch.SC. MRIAI, Director.

Patrick Creedon is a native of Cork and qualified from Bolton Street D.I.T. in 1990.

With Polly Magee he founded Magee Creedon Architects in 1993.

Patrick has over the intervening years built up a significant architectural firm that has been the recipient of many prestigious awards for residential and community based schemes such as the Island Crematorium , which won the Opus Heritage Award in 2007.

Also in 2007 Patrick with his fellow directors has created a new architectural practice, Magee Creedon Kearns Architects , which will operate under the same ethos of excellence in design and delivery.

Patrick has spoken widely on architectural matters in a wide variety of formats including “Living over the Shop” on behalf of Cork City Council at the Firkin Crane in 1995, Address to the RIAI Bi-annual Housing Conference in Cork City Hall 2005,and the RIAI Southern Region Lecture season in the Crawford Galley in 2005.

Patrick has recently acted as a member of the Jury for the EUROPAN 2007 Irish submissions.

Sean Kearns B. Arch. (UNSW) MRIAI Director

Seán Kearns is a native of Dublin who studied Architecture in Bolton Street D.I.T. for three years, from where he left the country for Australia in 1987 to continue his studies and start his architectural career.

Sean returned to Ireland in 1995 after working as a Design Architect for one of the largest Australian practices, Philip Cox and Partners, and he recommenced his Irish career at Murray O Laoire Architects in Dublin.
Seán subsequently worked in the Moscow, Limerick and Dublin offices of Murray O Laoire and was made an Associate Director in 1999.

In 2002 Seán was a founding member of the Murray O Laoire Cork office where he played a significant role in establishing and developing this office to be one of the major practices in Cork .Seán was involved in developing large scale quality projects in the residential, retail, office, third level institution, and leisure sectors for a wide range of schemes in the Cork docklands, University College Cork, Mahon and in the Munster region. In 2007 Sean joined with Polly Magee and Patrick Creedon in the formation of Magee Creedon Kearns Architects.
