This scheme was a commended and exhibited entry to the open ideas competition for this riverside Cork precinct sponsored by Cork City Council. The response was based on a desire to uniquely capture the river with a distinctive building on the quay edge making a new urban space with the Bridewell Garda Station at it’s centre, hang residential units off the existing large carpark structures and provide an urban mix of vehicular through-traffic calmed by a pedestrianised interface.
