| The project consists of a 140 m² extension to the Cork School Project, an “Educate Together” multi-denominational school housed in a city centre 19th century schoolhouse building. Due to the tight land locked nature of the site space was at a premium and therefore the accommodation of toilets, staff room, resource teacher, principal’s office and administration had to be carefully considered in order to maximise use.The staircase was regarded as an additional space for incidental seating, trophy cabinets, waiting areas and top lit gallery space. |
