Education
| This project is for an extension to an existing school at Hospital, Co. Limerick.
The brief comprised changing facilities, toilets and showers on ground floor and a suite of transition year classrooms and an assembly room on first floor. As the new building is to be constructed during the holiday period the programme has been condensed to allow work to proceed this summer. Following our appointment in early March 2011, we liaised with the design team, local authority and school representatives to produce a design solution which addressed the issues of ease of construction, pedestrian and vehicular access, and potential future connections to the existing building. This was submitted as a planning application by the end of March. The tender package is currently being prepared and the project is expected to start on site in June. |
